Tanaam muttered a short phrase in Qunlat probably best left untranslated as she lunged forward, trying to grab the woman before she slid out of range.

She manages to twist out of your reach and continues down at high speed.

"Hey!" Not giving herself chance to rethink the idea, she swung herself onto the ladder and followed the woman as fast as she could. "You surrender, we go to the guards, nobody gets hurt!"

"Oh it's far too late for that now." She shouted back, she'd already reached the next ladder. Looking down, the hole went beyond what Tamaan could see, but it was clearly very deep, for one thing she hadn't heard the daggers hit the ground, although she hadn't been listening for it.

Tanaam just kept climbing after the woman, trying to catch up.

(OOC: Not going to do chase rules on ladders. This going far faster than I thought it would lol I should probably let Mankoi get one more action off before combining Plots.) Despite Tanaam's best efforts, after several minutes of climbing the woman reached the bottom and managed to get out of the room by the time Tanaam did the same. The hole dropped into a large cavern filled with Chests, pots, and a few other storage containers, the chests were all open. The only exit to the cavern was a tunnel at one end with torches either side of it, which the woman had just run through.

Tanaam gave the room only a cursory glance, and made a mental note to come back after the murderer had been taken care of - letting a murderer run free so she could search for fancy baubles would not be a wise idea, after all. Raising her sword, she charged after the woman, but did not bother to shout any more warnings. She had exhausted any chance for surrender, as far as Tanaam was concerned.
