Jadyr would give Kairo a smile "good, you're picking up his slack already. but yeah, if we're not together, worry" wandering over to Kairo, slumping down beside him "it's only that tiny spark so..."

"Hey..." nudging his brother's arm then smiling, before looking at the tiny spark zipping around Nemos' icy... he wasn't sure what to call it. Tomb was too morbid. Memorial? Yeah, that's what it was. "A tiny spark, but it's there." Kairo's face looked contemplative... more than usual, then he turned to look at Jadyr "We rest for a minute here, then we try try to come up with a plan for where to go next. He gestured at Bareyn to sit, he looked almost as tired as Kairo felt, but exhilarated all the same.
Searching his pockets then for the page Nemos had been holding. Did he or Jadyr have it? He couldn't remember. "Hey, do you have the paper Nemos found?"

[OOC: I did write that you guys found it; let's say Jadyr has it. One of Nemos's army actually found the information in a book and copied it out for him. The book is long since destroyed, but this was all the relevant information anyway.]
The piece of paper, when found, read: Up in the northern ends of Yallend, near where [illegible] may be found [illegible] lake which some sources deem as holy, although [illegible] ancient and [illegible] must therefore be [illegible]

[OOC: I know Jadyr has it, read back and found. That was IC, Kairo forgot or is too mentally tired to really think properly Was also a poke for darky to have some input since this bit was mainly Kairo and Bareyn.] "Yeah... Yallend, these days, Yal-Kash. I think we should try there next." Turning to look at his brother.

Jadyr would pull the paper out for Kairo "Yeah, it's a lead. Nemos wouldn't want us sitting about doing nothing. What we do when we get there? We'll find out." giving Kairo a smile "Never know, we may run into Ronan and Melasni"

Taking the paper and glancing over it. "Yeah, that's one thing. I think Ekkhoen is there too, helping things supposedly. Maybe we'll be able to meet up with him? There's also this lead," pointing at the paper. "If we can regroup with Ronan... maybe him and Melasni might have found more information about other Children of Power too." He shrugs. "We should get going as soon as possible, don't you think?"

Nodding and hopping to his feet, Jadyr would offer a hand "As soon as you've recovered and we're packed to go"

"I'm heading back home," Bareyn decided. "I'm going to take a short rest after this, eat something, then get back to work. I wish you both luck."
Flint zipped back into the gem in the pommel of Jadyr's artifact sword with an excited crackle.

Waving the ice mage as he left "good luck with your stuff, too. Look forward to see what awesome city rises from this disaster..." smiling, keeping a brave face on. He'd be willing to help, but priorities, the world comes first.

"And you, Bareyn. If you ever need anything, let us know, and if and we're around and able to help, we will." Smiling, waving Bareyn off, then turning to Jadyr. "Right, bro?" Then looking up at the sky. "Now we have to get halfway across the world, so how are we gonna do it? We could probably get a horse or two from here, but no more than that. The city has enough to deal with."

Jadyr nodding in response "We've got two options; either, we go across the continent, which I'd prefer. Or we head to the coast and take a boat round" shrugging "Still prefering the dry route"

"Cross continent... it'd be less expensive, probably. We'd need horses, and food, which we can get on the way." Despite the fact that Kairo would prefer the water route, he was aware of their slowly dwindling money. "We'd also be able to go sooner. With the city like it is, who knows when the next boat out will be."

The harbour, visible from their location, contained exactly zero intact boats. For that matter, the stables had mostly burned down, but some horses could still be seen grazing by one of the rivers.

Looking at the harbour "Uh, boat route is more like impossible right now..." leaning back, Jadyr would sigh "so let's see if anyone minds us taking a couple horses. Should only need two- one each" so much destruction, and there was nothing they could of done to stop it.

Grimacing a little, then nodding, thinking of the trip they're gonna have to take across the desert. "Lets head over there then." Glancing behind them, at Nemos' memorial, then at the waterfall. He liked this place, he didn't want to say goodbye just yet. Then, getting up, heading off towards the horses. Keeping an eye out to see if anyone seems to be tending to them.

Getting up himself, Jadyr would stretch a little and follow his brother over, stopping briefly to look at Nemos' memorial "We'll miss you, good friend- we promise to visit sometime once we're not so busy..." and continuing on.

It took the twins a while to find anyone who was tending to the horses, but eventually they did find what looked like a stable-hand feeding them.

Walking over to the stable hand, waving at them. "Hey there." Clearing his throat. "My brother and I are looking to get out of the city for a while and were wondering if you'd be willing to part with two of those fine horses. We have money, though not a lot." Smiling at the person, gesturing at himself and Jadyr.

The man thought. "Okay, I guess I can part with two of them," he said after a moment's hesitation. "It'll cost you. Three hundred each, and if you've got any sense you'll buy food for them too." His tone indicated two things: firstly, that any hay he might once have had was destroyed, and secondly, that he was not willing to barter at all.

Looking over at Jadyr, pulling him out of earshot of the man and whispering. "That'll be half of what we have left, just about. We need them to get out of here though, so I think it's reasonable considering... We can make up our losses later if we need to."

Nodding "it ought to last us till we're there, and after that point, yeah, we'll find small jobs while we also look for what people know there, too" and smiling a little "plus, if it helps contribute to the city's reconstruction, then all the better..."
