So, the zombie dragon has the Undead abilities (mostly immunities), and is doing a fiery breath as pre-statted in the Savage Worlds handbook. Its fire is also acidic, but I'll roll that later.
First off, the Wind Mage, who is not a Wild Card, rolled Agility at -2 and failed. 2d10 damage (13, as it turned out), and I rolled a d6 to see if her clothes caught fire. Rolled a 6, so they did. As for a 13, well, that's enough to kill her anyway, so I didn't bother rolling anything for the acid, just described it a bit.
Because it used its breath weapon, it can't use its claw attacks this round.

Okay, so the dragon has a Joker, this gives him a +2 to all Trait rolls, and to damage. I standardly get two Fighting actions as this dragon, I choose to take a third one at a -2 to all rolls. So, rolling at base for each. First attack was to Nemos, because like I said, he's the closest person being the most annoying to the zombie dragon. Claw attack, rolling a d10 and wild die for fighting: My wild die rolls a 6, so I reroll for a total of 9. Checking Nemos's character sheet, and that is a Raise, so I add a d6 to my fighting roll. Said fighting roll winds up as a Strength + d8 + d6 - so, in other words, d12 + d8 + d6 + 9. (This guy has strength d12+9). The rolls: 12 on the d12, 1 and 4 on the d6 and d8. And a 6 on the d12's reroll. Add 9 and that makes 32 damage. Easily enough to flatten Nemos's 4 Toughness. 3 Wounds and Incapacitation. Sorry, Thalslaw. ... No, not really. Wait, I forgot the +2 damage from the Joker. ... I really don't think that made any real difference though. My goal in this is to remove Thalslaw's damn village, so the dragon got annoyed at the library building next. No acid fire as I'm attacking, so he simply smacks his head into it and gets irked! I didn't bother rolling for this one - it's a building, it's not like it can dodge. The acid saliva was just to make *sure* what was left got destroyed. For my third attack, I chose to "dispose" of some of the assistant mages. It's an area of effect attack, over quite a nifty area, so I rolled a pair of d4s to decide how many of your allies are turned into jelly. The fighting attack only rolled an 8, which isn't a Raise, and its tail does d12+7 damage, +2 from the Joker. Of course, my trusty d12 explodes upwards, so that winds up at 12+5+7+2 = 26 damage. Each. Yeah. They're turned to paste, I think. EDIT: Feel free to discuss it here

Well, yes. I also was going to throw this at you anyway at some point. This happens to the characters in the novel I've based this off at least once, possibly more times, so you're not screwing up or anything.

This was the planned third and final round of the dragon's presence - I rolled for how many turns the thing would stick around before getting bored of the easy prey, and I rolled 3. Obviously, I didn't tell you guys because that'd ruin the surprise. The half-hearted flame jet will halve its damage against Winters, Kairo and Jadyr (one human's round of movement will not get you out of its range, doubly not when dragging Winters!) The dragon's lost interest, and you're only getting flamed because you guys are the only things moving - well, Jadyr is, Kairo's standing there and frankly, when you're a zombie dragon that's annoying too. In fact, you're not dead, which makes you annoying. But not interesting enough to stick around for. Agility rolls at -2 to avoid the flame: Kairo rolls 11 - 2 = 9, so he's fine. Jadyr normally rolls at +2; considering he's lugging Winters around he counts as encumbered, so the Acrobat Edge doesn't count, so he's rolling at -2 still. He only rolls 6-2 = 4, but that's still enough! Winters doesn't get scorched on account of being carried by Jadyr. Damage: None, unfortunately for the dragon. And very fortunately for the twins. And of course, you guys are going to find a way to kill my zombie dragon, I assume, hence the last line!

Aftermath explanation - Firstly, don't worry about the absence - I was too! The rules on this are basically "We're totally okay if real life gets in the way as long as we know about it" - if you need to deal with IRL just let me know. Email if you have my address, PM, post on the board, whatever. We'll come down like a ton of bricks if we don't know, but if we do, we'll wait patiently. I'm sure you're aware of this, but just to clarify your characters know the following: Yallend and Kashnikarr were historically two countries, which have long since merged into Yal-Kash. See the world map for where the border was. These days there is absolutely no divide between the two - they're one country. Thank you for stating that you'd communicated the liberties ahead of time, normally things like that would not be allowed. You two just demonstrated the perfect way to make that rule not apply, well done on that. Obeying rules is good. Well done. Kairo, I believe you had the group's total funds with you? If so, can you tell me what it WAS at the end of verse 1 when we transferred? I'll take a hopefully fair amount off that, do some rounding, and call that your current funds. The Marstow sideplot will have its own money. It is up to you whether you keep a group pool of money - you two might want to do it; it may or may not work in the forum context, and I'll leave it up to players to decide whether they want to divide money or have a "group pool". If the latter, I'll create and sticky a thread for keeping track of it, who takes money from the kitty (for reasons of splitting the party), etc, to keep financial discussions out of the IC areas. Finally, both of you have done some great roleplaying, but in particular Jadyr gets a Benny for excellently working his new phobia into his roleplay as I instructed him to. Uh, as a consequence of that roleplay though, I'm rolling Vigor as he hasn't had enough sleep. He passed the Vigor roll and is tired, but suffering no great ill-effects from his all-nighter. I will reroll after 12 hours, as per the rules. I am working on information on what the zombie dragon is. By the time you guys get to a point where you can research it, I'll have something for you.

Will let you guys know in future if IRL keeps me away for more than a couple of days. I was pretty sure on the history of Yal-kash, but thanks for the reminder. Yeah I checked with darky before posting, just in case he wanted to do anything in relation to Kairo's post. Ok, Kairo had 1578 gold on him at the end of verse 1. I think it's fair enough if we keep it as a pool, your suggestion of a separate thread for keeping track was a good idea. Woo, more Bennies are always good

Anyone mind if we knock it down by about two hundred and some-kind-of-dice-roll? It's only been a little over a week, but you've been paying for three people's room and board at the inn, plus extra for the body, plus some for the damage.
JaccusRed was in the group pool before, so I'll assume he's still in it - not that he can access it, as he's separated from you. Mankoi and Prof. Cinders are going to be managing their own funds at least until the two groups rejoin.
You'll earn a Benny yourself, at some point.

Sounds reasonable to me, go for it. Yeah Ronan was in it before and its counting his money as well up till the end of verse 1.

Either of you want to actually... post in the main thread? It's waiting on you, as I have no characters.
