After some time searching he found a jar of glue in a desk drawer.

Elhon grabbed the glue and the vellum and nabbed one of the shinier plates as well, before making his egress through the back window on the ground floor. He made his way over towards one of the windows of the neighboring house and tried to use the plate as a makeshift mirror, so he could see if there was anyone watching the window without quite literally sticking his neck out to check.

There is a man standing directly on the inside of the window with his back to it.

Elhon carefully applied the glue to one of the windowpanes, making sure it covered the glass completely, before laying the vellum flat over it, pressing it into corners. He waited for a loud noise, a dog barking, or a drunk shouting on the streets, before tapping the vellum with the pommel of one of his daggers, just hard enough to break the glass behind it.

The tap is almost silent and glass peels away easily, there is now a jagged square hole in the window, approximately as tall as a reasonably sized dagger.

[OOC: Is that an actual reasonably sized dagger, or a Dragon Age reasonably sized dagger? What they call a dagger in DA always seemed more like a short sword to me]

Elhon reached through the hole with both hands, clasping the man's mouth with one hand, and drawing his blade across the man's throat with the other.

The man Struggled for a second, then went slack. (OOC: very nearly didn't kill him despite the drop and raise on fighting roll.)

Elhon gently lowered him to the ground before reaching through the window, unlatching it, opening it and entering properly, keeping an ear out try and figure out how many other people were in the house and where they were.

Ahead was a staircase leading down and a corridor leading to the front door. There were two doors on the right of the corridor and a staircase facing away from Elhon on the left that went upstairs. The occasional noise came from downstairs but nothing from the rest of the house. Trail of dirt and dust that he'd seen before went from the stairs to the door, with thinner trails to the two side doors and upstairs.

Elhon decided to try the first door on his right, standing to the side as he pushed it open, in case of traps.

it appears to be an empty living area. Ornate chairs and a fireplace as well as several paintings fill the room. Non one seems to be inside.

Inside was a fairly basic kitchen, utensils and crockery scattered around unwashed.

Elhon exited and started to move down the stairs, as quietly as he could, being careful not to go far enough he could be physically seen.

The right wall continued down to the bottom of the stairs giving Elhon a good position to stay in cover. As he crept down the stairs he could hear playing cards being shuffled followed by a gulp and a thud presumably a tankard hitting a table.

Elhon pulled out his reflective plate again and tried to get a look around the corner.

The plate revealed a smaller cellar to the one in the previous house, containing a table and chairs surrounded by piles of dust and rock. The woman Elhon met at the door sat facing away from him although she was to looking to the right rather than straight ahead, she had a look of contained revulsion, presumably caused by the drunk bearded man sat across from her, who's beard appeared to contain both crumbs and ale. Both of them were armed and armoured. the right of the room remained out of view without the plate moving beyond the wall.

Elhon slipped back upstairs, gently taking the body of the man he's killed and putting him outside the window. He closed the door to that room as well to try and hide the broken window, before pounding loudly on the front door with the pommel of his dagger, and then running to hide in the kitchen he'd found.

(OOC: the room with the broken window is the corridor so it can't be hidden. Also in future in scenarios like this it would help to know when you intend to act next so I know when to cut off this post.) After a few seconds footsteps could be heard coming down the corridor, towards the door. They paused half way down the corridor, then continued to the door, which then opened. "What!" Elhon recognised the voice of the woman, the heavy Orlesian accent making it easily identifiable. There was a pause and then the man who drove him away from the front door spoke. "What do you mean what?" "You knocked?" her voice sounded uncertain here, possibly worried. "that was your side... could it have been Warrick?" The man sounded defensive, he was clearly afraid of this woman. "He's not at his post... maybe he's in the kitchen or living room... get back to work I'll look for him."

Elhon slipped out of the kitchen while the woman was at the door and made his way back downstairs, tossing a coin against the far wall of the basement in an attempt to get the bearded man to turn his back.
{OOC: Hey, it works in the Mark of the Assassin DLC. ... Of course, in that, I can just conk people on the head too. Ah, simplified game mechanics...}

The man put down his tankard and stared at the coin on the floor next to him, swaying slightly.
