"A friend?" Mystique said.

Typing: 'Yes, but I think you'll understand if I'm not trusting enough to speak my thoughts concerning you out loud just yet. Do you trust this woman after all? I'd think not, if she sent someone else to fetch you."
Replying to Mystique, putting the phone back in his pocket after typing the message. "Nothing urgent. Let's get on with this. So, Alan?"

"Alan is, or was a human, but he's also one of the best computer hackers around. We thought he'd be able to help ya dig up S.H.I.E.L.D. files and keep ya out of trouble." Mystique said, walking into the dorm building again. "We got in touch with someone who said she'd be able ta contact him, but we're a little unsure about her. She's come through for us on some other things though."

"Was human? Well, not much would surprise me I suppose. He sounds like a useful ally, in any case. Can you still get in contact with her, or if not, how to contact Alan himself?" Arriving back to the hubbub thst is a university dorm, Alec is waiting for Alan's reply, hands in his pockets, walking towards his dorm room.

The message buzzed in; he'd been waiting to see what everyone thought of him. It was fairly amusing, really. "I don't trust either of these women. Anyone who can change their face that easily? And, the woman she mentioned hacked me. I am not going to trust either of them. Reckon we're being manipulated."

"Someone does seem awfully determined to get hold of you," Mystique said. "'Specially considerin' you ain't much of a people person."

With a derisive wave, "It's called texting, people do it a lot these days. Just because I'm not much of a people person, it doesn't mean I don't have a select few people I associate with. Being in my room all the time, it's still useful to know what's going on."
Replying to the text, "I don't trust her either, but I don't have many options right now other than to go with her." Alex, sighing, shoves his phone back in his pocket after sending the message. Muttering, "And you call me paranoid..."
Arriving at his room, he unlocks the half dozen locks in a practised fashion, opens the door and steps aside. "Well, ladies first."

Mystique stepped into the apartment, glancing around at the corners of the room. "Let's make this quick now, okay sugah?"

Alec pulled an old suitcase out from under his bed and started piling stuff into it, mostly clothes, mostly clean which was surprising. Then dismantling his computer setup quickly and packing it all in large bag. Looking over at Mystique's brunette form as he thinks of what else he might need to take. "So, how is this whole 'joining up process' going to work? Where on this green earth am I going?"

"Well, Ah dunno, really," Mystique said, as she adjusted the blinds slightly, briefly letting Alec see what looked like a small recording device she'd palmed from somewhere around the curtain rod in the process. "If you're really interested in joinin' MI6 over comin' to our school, I imagine they've got some hidey hole or the other around these parts they'd wanna interview you in."

Cursing silently at having missed something like that. "They might, but if I reconsider, I'll let you know. Can I get a phone number? Someone I should call about something like that?" He gets out a notepad and pen, noisily, scrawling 'How badly is this place bugged?' on it, and handing it to her.

"'Course ya can. Ah'll even give you an address. Drop by any time," Mystique said, writing out, 'Badly. They have video too. I did say they were watching. Get your stuff, and let's get out.'

"Thanks." Pocketing the note. Grabbing his coat, the case of stuff and his backpack, altogether containing the important electronic devices, making a mental note to wipe them later, he heads to the door.
"Can I escort you anywhere?" He asks Rogue as he gestures out the door. "I need to lock up."

"Ah'll just show myself out," Mystique said, going to wait down the hallway.

"Fair enough then." Closing the door and locking up. Surprisingly, Alec wasn't worried. A sense of strange excitement flickered through him, and he felt like he was about to lose concentration, but managed to keep his coherence. Following Rogue/Mystique down the hallway to the reception and the exit.

"Don't think they'll stop bugging ya when ya become an employee," Mystique said. "This shouldn't be too hard. All ya need to do is apply for a job on the MI6 site. Don't fabricate, at least not more than ya normally would. Just do it like a normal application. They should take ya in."

Nodding, "Yeah, maybe not. I'll head over to an internet cafe to do it. Shouldn't take too long I expect. This place was getting kinda boring anyway." Walking out, seeing if Rogue is heading in any particular direction.

"Ah gotta get goin," Mystique said. "Magneto's gonna be wondering what kept me so long. You can handle it from here. Drop me or Magneto a line when ya get into S.H.I.E.L.D. You should find enough to get in touch in their files."

"Great. See you around then I guess?" Giving her a wave, then heading over to the nearest internet cafe, a few streets over. He'd ask for a private cubicle, get out his laptop and see about starting that application. Sighing a little. "Who'd have thought when I woke up this morning I'd be looking for a job at MI6. I need a coffee..."

The phone rang again. Alan had been busy running scans, making sure whatever malware was on the phone wasn't monitoring him. It was a fairly basic phone, so not capable of much anyway - so he upped the amount of RAM he was using, to push out any operating room for viruses. The phone should probably be ditched anyway.
"I can scan your computer for you if you'd like," read the latest message, "but it's probably better to wipe it. Anyone watching will expect it anyway - you think people applying to be spies wouldn't take precautions? I can point out the obvious hardware bugs as well... Maybe even fry a few." He was spilling his thoughts into the text, he knew, but hopefully it wouldn't overwhelm the kid. He double-checked on his upload of the day's conversations, too, just in case they'd completely failed.

Alec checked the phone, smiling a little as he read the latest message, typing a reply in case anyone was listening in. "Yes of course I'm going to wipe it, after I move anything important over to a separate drive. There isn't much, just a few documents I'd like to keep." Alec put the phone on the desk in the cubicle he'd asked for, then set to work. All his research and important notes will be safer and encrypted on the portable hard drive. Everything else will be wiped. After that's done, he'll load up MI6's website.

"They might have tagged your docs with a virus," chimed the next message, shortly followed by, "How many layers of encryption do you have? There's some good paranoid OSes you could download. Just a sec."
Alan pinged the local wifi networks. It may be a primitive phone, but it could do that at least. Finding the internet cafe's, he set about hacking their interchange. All the computers in the shop were wired into the same network switch, so Alan attempted to move from the phone to the computer Alec was using.

Transferring over to Alec's computer proved no difficulty, and Alan was able to transfer over quickly and effectively.

As soon as he had checked his data, he copied the recordings from earlier across from the phone and shot them up to various of his servers. Then, he did a quick search for paranoid OSes, bringing up the download screen for some of the more popular ones, as well as a link to his own forked version. Among them were various phone OSes as well, just in case Alec ever considered getting a proper phone.
Finally, he pulled up an encrypted chat window, and brought up his own profile at the other end. "Check these out. Some of them use several layers of encryption, so even if the first layer gets hacked, or you're forced into telling someone your password, they're only going one layer deep - and your stuff could be further down. =D"
